The impossible task for rich Jews and Christians is to excuse hoarding wealth, a sin so great that God destroyed an entire city where no one shared:

Ezekiel 16:49–50. Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

To claim God permits systems where a few are rich and many are poor, the rich point to the beginning of this verse:

Deuteronomy 15:11. For the poor shall never cease out of the land…

It’s very true. The poor will be with us always — natural and unnatural disasters always make people poor. The solution that the rich hate to mention is in the second half of the same verse:

Deuteronomy 15:11. …therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

The Bible assures us the earth which was made for us all will someday belong to us all:

Psalm 37:11 But the poor will inherit the earth,
will delight in great prosperity.
