Disagree. I think Bernie realized that 3rd parties have always been a loser's game in a two-party system, so he made a sincere effort to see what he could do within the system. The Democrats beat him, which in 2016 meant that the Republicans then beat the Democrats.

I don't believe in sheepdog theory. Based on the polls I've seen, people pretty much did what they were going to do when it comes to voting the lesser evil.

But I do agree his time has passed. Like Corbyn, he took a good shot at it, but the neoliberals beat him.
