Excellent piece. I'm increasingly thinking left and right have nothing to do with economic systems—they're about the hobbyhorses of people with half-formed ideas. The "far left" are anarchists, the people Lenin called liberals with bombs. The "far right" are fascists, who might as well be called conservatives with bombs. I want a system that rejects bombs as a solution. Whether humans are capable of that, I haven't a clue—sadly, both fascists and anarchists turn to bombs when the rich block other paths to change.
