I agree with some of your points, but I'll quibble with some too:

1. Capitalism is not the same as buying and selling things. It's the economic system that followed mercantilism.

2. The poor do want to work, which is another reason for Basic Income. There's no penalty for working, as there is under welfare plans. The studies say this is why Basic Income encourages work.

3. Chris Rock was playing to richer black people. They call his attitude classist now, but it's just old-fashioned snobbery.

4. We may disagree on what an ideal third party would be, but we agree that we need a third party that will help us instead of Wall Street.
