I usually just say my race is human, but I do see the argument for hapa. If you check the Oxford English Dictionary, you'll see that "race" was originally used for all kinds of groups, including nationalities, and with that definition, most members of the American race are hapa. The first Shetterly came to the US in 1775, and I would have to spend days of research to figure out where all my ancestors are from.
