If the Republicans can be explained as "an explicitly racist party that took power by appealing to white nationalism", why have Democrats been losing Black male support since 2008?

That capitalism is effectively racist because poor class mobility ensures that groups which were historically rich or poor continue to be rich or poor, I'm sure we can agree. But if the Republican racism is more explicit than the Democratic form, why are an increasing number of black men failing to notice it?
