I'll just point out one problem now. You say, "Israelis do not want to “settle” or “occupy” the Gaza Strip (though they will probably have to now). They want Hamas out, and who rules afterwards is an afterthought." If you bother to read what Zionists have wanted for over a century now, Zionist Israelis want all of historic Palestine. That's in Likud's charter.
