I'm a little surprised you have so much faith in those Palestinians. I suspect confirmation bias explains it.

By your argument, there were no Americans before the United States of America, but we know Europeans who lived in the Americas called themselves Americans long before the USA existed.

You should also note that there was no modern Israel before 1948. The idea that the state bearing the name is the same as the one that fell over 2500 years ago is rather silly.
