Israel’s European founders called themselves colonists, so I see no reason to quibble with that.
The Nakba refers to the implementation of Plan Dalet, which included massacres and the ethnic cleansing of 750,000 people, and the subsequent refusal to allow any of them to have their human right of return, even though Israel promised to resolve the refugee problem when it was admitted to the UN.
