It doesn't matter what the GOP would've done. Bernie's core issues—higher minimum wage, universal health care, free higher education—were popular. That would not have changed.

If you doubt that, look at how Clinton's numbers changed very little in the last months. She was almost always within range of losing to the Electoral College. Sanders was not.
