It is sweet to think Dylan was all-knowing and all-wise, but we all have blind spots. On Israel, I think you can't beat Jewish thinkers like Einstein, Arendt, and this fellow:

Yes, there has always been a Jewish presence in Palestine. Most Palestinian Jews converted to Christianity two thousand years ago, then Islam a few centuries later, but a few kept the old religion. In 1800, for example, there were 7000 Jews, 22000 Christians, and 246000 Muslims.

And yes, Jews were expelled from some countries after Israel refused to grant the human right of return to the refugees who fled from massacres at places like Deir Yassin and Safsaf.

Can you explain why Palestinians should pay for Nazis' sins?
