My theory is the conservatives who don’t talk about this come from two overlapping groups: conservatives who are unwilling to talk about class and authoritarian conservatives who love the idea of brutal police. There are some conservatives, mostly libertarian ones, who are good on the subject. I especially recommend Radley Balko.
