Now I’m wondering how many capitalists have resisted profit’s demand for shittification. I remember when I fell: my wife and I had a small press, and while our print runs were small, the difference in cost between mediocre and good paper was small, so we printed on good paper. But when the demand for our books increased so we needed larger print runs, the difference in cost grew greater too, so I switched to the cheaper paper. No customer complained, but I will always regret being seduced by Mammon then.
