Seven of Israel’s first nine Prime Ministers were born in Europe. The rest are the children of European immigrants, except for the latest, who is the child of European-American immigrants.

David Ben-Gurion: Płońsk, Congress Poland, Russian Empire.

Moshe Sharett: Kherson, Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire.

Levi Eshkol: Orativ, Kiev Governorate, Russian Empire.

Yigal Allon (Acting Prime Minister, 1969): Kfar Tavor, Occupied Enemy Territory Administration. (His father was European.)

Golda Meir: Kyiv, Kiev Governorate, Russian Empire.

Yitzhak Rabin: Jerusalem, Mandatory Palestine. (Both parents were European.)

Menachem Begin: Brest, Russian Empire.

Yitzhak Shamir: Ruzhinoy, Russian Empire.

Shimon Peres: Wiszniew, Second Polish Republic (now Belarus).

Benjamin Netanyahu: Tel Aviv, Israel. (His father was European.)

Ehud Barak: Mishmar HaSharon, Mandatory Palestine. (Both parents were European.)

Ariel Sharon: Kfar Malal, Mandatory Palestine. (Both parents were European.)

Ehud Olmert: Binyamina, Mandatory Palestine. (Both parents were European.)

Naftali Bennett: Haifa, Israel. (Both parents were European-Americans.)
