Then you think an atheist of Christian descent is a self-hating Christian?

In this age of political correctness, it may be impossible to understand how people could make joking comments about social identities that seem beyond the pale today. Perhaps it’d help to consider black people who use what Medium undoubtedly wants me to call “the n-word”. Do you think those black people are self-hating?

Here’s the opening of the obituary that Eleanor Marx wrote for her father:

“Karl Marx was born at Trier on May 5, 1818, of Jewish parents. His father—a man of great talent—was a lawyer, strongly imbued with the French 18th-century ideas of religion, society, and the arts; his mother was the descendant of Hungarian Jews who in the 17th century settled in Holland.”

That’s not the obituary of an antisemite.

PS. I agree it’s despicable to call anyone an Uncle Tom in the 21st century.
