There’s no dilemma in my position: I separate the good people do from the bad that they do. You’re the one insisting that someone who is bad in some aspects should not be respected for what they do that’s good. But if you want to hate someone Frederick Douglass admired, no one can stop you.

The only straw man so far is the idea we should lionize people when they do reprehensible things. No one is arguing for that.
