What the IDF and the Israeli establishment accepted was his reframing of what he said. That does not necessarily mean they approve of what he said, and they're undoubtedly glad he reinterpreted his comments.

Yet the enormous gap between charges against IDF soldiers and prosecutions and indictments suggests the IDF and the Israeli establishment have a huge problem when it comes to sexual abuse of all forms.
