You need to read some history. The US was most successful when taxes were much higher than they are now, and no one would say we were socialists in the ‘40s or ‘50s.

You might also try reading some actual socialists to see what socialists want. So long as capitalists are in control, a system is capitalist.

But we could have fairer capitalist systems. That’s why I’m willing to accept Nordic capitalism as the next step.
